Alice in Storyland by Naomi Alderman

Alice in Storyland

"I looked into the black mirror and it was like falling into a dream."

Alice Klein is a blocked novelist until she finds a black mirror in the storeroom of the bookshop she works in. Staring into the mirror gives Alice inspiration, but it soon becomes clear that many others want to possess it, and that they'll stop at nothing to take it from her. With the help of her friends, Alice has to discover the sinister history of the black mirror and its true purpose, before it's too late.

A dark reworking of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, 'Alice in Storyland' took place in real time during the weeks of We Tell Stories and was written across blogs, phone messages, fake corporate websites, emails, classified ads and a live-blog finale.
